Free Obstacle Course in Gothenburg

Hey again!

So, I have been on vacation for about a month now, and I am now finally finding time to write. I don’t really know what has been hindering me the past month. Probably the main reason is that I have been reading the Harry Potter books (in Swedish) which means that each book takes approximately 5 times as long. Low and behold, I am almost done with the 7th book, and I am finally feeling like I should get back to blogging and focus more on what I love to do most in the world, TRAVEL! So, I think that after playing around for a few months, I have finally figured out that I would like to focus on my travels, as well as what there is to do for expats living in Sweden.

I am going to write about a hidden gem in Gothenburg that can be found in the neighbourhood, Kallebäck. It is located a bit outside of the city centre but is easily reachable with the 50 bus (towards Kallebäck) from Brunnsparken (the major transportation hub near Central Station, directly outside of Nordstan, the big shopping complex). You hop on the bus and get off at Smörgatan. You can also drive since there is free parking on site. If you are looking it up on Google Maps, it is called Bergets Hinderbana.

Best Places for After Work in Gothenburg

Hello there!

party

Well, I am currently heading on a bus to Oslo to go visit some of my girlfriends there. Feeling a bit anxious since I won’t get my renewed passport until next week, so hopefully, I can make it through the border control. In the past 3 years, I have taken at least 20 buses between Gothenburg and Oslo, and I have been stopped only one time. So, here I am crossing my fingers for some good luck.

Well, with the thoughts of TGIF (thank god it’s Friday) running through my head I thought I would blog a little bit more locally. If you didn’t know, the Swedes are crazy about their after work (also know as AW). This is where the partying starts at 3 pm and ends sometimes at dinnertime! I mean, who can party on an empty stomach? So, here it is: where are the best places for after work in Gothenburg?

Microblading My Eyebrows in Gothenburg

IMG_0062.JPG

I have been following the microblading/3D eyebrow trend since last summer, and I have been anxiously waiting until I could find the right time to do mine. I have been longing to have them done before our long trip in the fall so I can slip away from the daily struggle to make my two awkwardly shaped eyebrows match one another. Unfortunately, I was not blessed with nice eyebrows. They may have been popular in the ’90s, but I was too young to appreciate my skinny little caterpillars so early on in life. I have been filling in my eyebrows for a few years now, making them thicker and longer, but last summer I decided that I wanted to be able to wake up in the morning and not look like a little kid. So, then came the time to book my eyebrow appointment.
