This last stint of our trip to Canada has been extremely busy that I haven’t even had a chance to write at all. I did manage to finish a book (Origin by Dan Brown—I recommend it!), so perhaps I was not efficient with my time. We have spent a big bulk of our time on Vancouver Island, which happens to be one of my favourite places in British Columbia. Why do I love Vancouver Island so much? Read more to find out what I think the best destinations are on Vancouver Island!

Fun Activities in the Fraser Valley
As always, we have been insanely busy in the past week. Last week, I wrote about some activities we did in Maple Ridge. After that, we did some more activities that are also in the Fraser Valley. So, what did we do that was so fun? We have been looking at wild animals, going on hikes, and seeing majestic waterfalls. All of this is available in the Fraser Valley! Sometimes it is worth it to be staying outside of the big city.
Greater Vancouver Zoo
Last Wednesday, we met one of my closest friends, Rachelle, and her daughter at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. I hadn’t been to the zoo and a while and Daniel has actually never been to the zoo here. It is the perfect place to take a kid, and also a big kid too.
What to Do in Maple Ridge, BC
Well, Danne and I have been busy little bees. After leaving our Whistler trip, we headed to Point Roberts to visit some family members. My aunt and uncle have a property down there, so they had some people staying with them for Labour Day Weekend. On Sunday night, we stayed in Delta to visit some friends from the University of Victoria. We headed out to Maple Ridge on Monday afternoon and we ended up doing some touristy things out there.
Hidden Gems in British Columbia
Well, it really has been a jam-packed trip so far. After camping at Cat Lake last weekend, we relaxed a few days and then headed up to Whistler to visit my friend, Amanda. Every year we visit Amanda in Whistler, she always shows us some amazing places that are always the highlight of our trip to Canada. This time, she took us to a real hidden gem in British Columbia, which was a bit tough to get to but totally worth it.
