Hey everyone!
So, after Daniel and I had our sailing adventure around Croatia we decided to have a mini vacation in Dubrovnik, Croatia. We were there for 2 nights but we tried to get the most in such a short time.
Hello there,
Before my partner and I embark on our big backpacking adventure, we have taken a “mini” sailing vacation in Croatia for one week. I am usually a budget traveller but this trip is definitely one of those that can break the bank. I backpacked Croatia 7 years ago, and I think that there are tons of ways to travel in Croatia on a budget. So, this post will not be about staying on a budget. This is a trip that we have been planning for almost a year, and it required some saving up. Although this is, in my opinion, a luxurious trip, we still managed some ways to not go over-the-top with our spending. Our trio consisted of 2 boats, 8 people on one, and 12 on the other. I am going to write about our itinerary and what I should have packed for a one-week sailing trip in Croatia. If you are interested in what we did after this trip, then read my post about our time in Dubrovnik. So, let’s dive right in!

Hey again!
So, I have been on vacation for about a month now, and I am now finally finding time to write. I don’t really know what has been hindering me the past month. Probably the main reason is that I have been reading the Harry Potter books (in Swedish) which means that each book takes approximately 5 times as long. Low and behold, I am almost done with the 7th book, and I am finally feeling like I should get back to blogging and focus more on what I love to do most in the world, TRAVEL! So, I think that after playing around for a few months, I have finally figured out that I would like to focus on my travels, as well as what there is to do for expats living in Sweden.
I am going to write about a hidden gem in Gothenburg that can be found in the neighbourhood, Kallebäck. It is located a bit outside of the city centre but is easily reachable with the 50 bus (towards Kallebäck) from Brunnsparken (the major transportation hub near Central Station, directly outside of Nordstan, the big shopping complex). You hop on the bus and get off at Smörgatan. You can also drive since there is free parking on site. If you are looking it up on Google Maps, it is called Bergets Hinderbana.

Hey!
Finally, I have some time to write again. With setting a bunch of grades and taking last-minute presentations, work has been chaotic! But, finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel and today is my last “real” day of work. After this, it is just easy days (football competitions, brännbolltävlingar, etc.) and in just a week and a half, I will be free for 7 months! Now, that is something to look forward to.
Alright, so last weekend I had an amazing long weekend in Amsterdam with my girlfriends from Norway. I worked a half day on Friday, took a plane alone to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and got extremely lost since I forgot that I needed to update my phone plan (since Daniel changed his). So, after wandering aimlessly without Google Maps trying to find the meeting point to pick up the key, I finally arrived at my friend’s parent’s apartment. Finally, the plane with my friends arrived and after a quick shop at Albert Heijn (which is definitely the best supermarket) for wine, cheese, and tapas, we settled in for our first night. I ended up staying in Amsterdam until the late afternoon on Monday. So, what do I recommend for a long weekend in Amsterdam?
