So, you’re interested in how I became Candinavian?
I grew up in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. I spent most of my childhood outside of Vancouver but studied on Vancouver Island. After I finished two degrees (who needs a Masters?), I decided to move abroad to Beijing, China to teach at an international Canadian school. After about two weeks in Beijing, at an expat bar, I met the love of my life! Once his stint was up in Beijing, he moved away and we did long distance for ten months. After very little convincing later, I hopped on a plane from Vancouver to Oslo, Norway and moved in with Daniel. Luckily for me, it ended up being the best decision of my life and after eight months in Norway, we moved back to Daniel’s roots in Gothenburg, Sweden. This was all because I needed to find a meaningful job and Sweden had what I needed. I have been living in Sweden since August 2015 and have made a great life here! This blog is about my experiences of being an expat as well as to document my travels so my friends and family can see what I am up to.
